Koni adjustable struts info needed
I understand that these struts can be adjusted, how is that done? Also, what are the benefits of these struts? How will they work with Springs, in particularly the pro-kit?
Are they worth the investment?
All help appreciated, thanks.

Definatley worth the investment especially if your car is lower b/c of the prokit.
To adjust the ride firmness you simply use their adapter and turn the exposed top of the strut for the fronts (all you have to do hear is open the hood and they are accessible. For the rears the seats have to come out so try and get them right on the first try. I would reccomend between 1/2 and 3/4 stiffness for the rears (mine are at 1/2 right now and are fine, if not a tad less stiff than I would like but it's not worht the hassle to change them for such a small amount). The fronts you can adjust anytime so it doesn't really matter.
There is no height adjustment availible with the Konis for the CL.
They are expensive and the labor is also unless you get someone to hook you up, but from what has been said about the prokits I think they will make a world of difference.

How much did you pay?

Is this because they are made for the accord?

Also, well I already made a mistake that I did not think of this earlier because struts have to come out when springs are replaced, this is obviously a cheaper job if the struts are replaced right there.
How much is the ride improved?

If you don't use your rear seat much, I'd leave it out for about a week after installing the shocks so that you can make changes and when you finally decide which setting to keep put the seat back in.

I bought mine from Tirerack.com (only b/c Tim didn't have them in). I had my friend do the install and he only charged me 200 for struts and sways, but he mentioned that the dealer charges 2hours labor per strut for replacement!
I'm sure you can get a fine deal at any of the commercial suspension shops. They seem to always be offering some kind of deals.
As far as the prokit goes I've only heard that they lower the car more than the Comptechs so I would definately go for the improved struts, and the Konis are the best.

Had my back seat out for a month while driving in every possible road condition available. Decided on 10 clicks rear and 8 on front and feel over all this is best adjustment for most conditions while still maintaining some sanity of smoothness for the street.
