Knight Rider will ride again. David Hasselhoff is planning to bring his 1980s hit into the 21st century.
The former Baywatch hunk recently told Entertainment Weekly that Michael Knight is coming out of retirement, hiring a couple of kids, and bringing an updated version of Kitt the talking car back to battle criminals.
"I'll be the older, cool boss who oversees this incredibly updated car," he said.
The original voice of Kitt, Screen Actors Guild President William Daniels, has already committed to the project. His credits also include portraying a teacher on Boy Meets World and an acerbic doctor on St. Elsewhere.

..if you remember, they brought KIT back in a new body style "Knight Rider 2000" it was red & sorta looked liked the new Pontiac TransAms that are out now. That show did rock, everyone tripped on that moving "red" LED in the hood. Somehow I can't see a Twin Turbo CL-s with the KIT "eye".

oh BTW, I wonder if the new K.I.T will have P4's in his mother board and running some beta version of Windows. They did have a tough time with those computer screen setups looking real in the 80's.

KARR (voice: Peter Cullen): During the initial phases of the Knight Industries project, a prototype vehicle was developed by FLAG and was given the name Knight Automated Roving Robot, or KARR. Although very similar to KITT, the prototype lacked one important feature: the programming to protect human life, an oversight by Wilton and Devon. Once the car was activated, its primary directives was its own self survival at all costs. Upon realizing their mistake, Wilton and Devon promptly had the car deactivated and ordered it to be dismantled. However, the technicians had forgot to dismantle the car, and stored it in the Knight Museum of Technology, where it sat quietly for a number of years. That is, until one day some thieves inadvertently activated KARR...
KIFT (voice: William Daniels): The Knight 4000 replaced KITT in Knight Rider 2000. The car is a modified Dodge Stealth. The most significant technical advancements made in Knight 4000 were: 1. Kitt will most likely be an Fbod of some sort. If its set in the future who knows. GM has been saying they will discontinue the Fbod for the past ten years. Hence they can set any price they want.
