Kleemann -vs- Comptech
I must say I thought Comptech was expensive ....it doesnt hold a light to Kleemann.
I was shopping around for a complete suspension kit that will lower less than the Eibachs I had on which is 1.2 all around. Well the only manufacturer of those springs is Kleemann and they offer a great product..or at least what people say about it.
It only drops the car .7 to 3/4 of an inch but the magic is actually with the dampers. It seems that they offer a better, more compliant ride than stock but when the speed increases and down force is exerted they automatically stiffen up. This also happens if you hit a turn really fast or brake to hard or accelerate to hard. It seems that this will transorm my car to a luxury/ M3 turn hugging beast all in the same package.
Now of course it comes with a hefty price tag...which I will fail to mention so I wont offend anyone
I which Comptech would come out with something this revolutionary
KLEEMANN Suspension Systems
The KLEEMANN Speed Sensitive Sport Suspension systems utilize CNC precision wound springs that are shot peened, phosphate treated and powder coated. They are true progressive rate springs, providing a comfortable ride while reducing body roll and lowering the vehicles center of gravity.
Giving the car the ultimate in handling are the very innovative Speed Sensitive dampers, providing performance unlike any other damper can offer!
High pressure nitrogen gas charge and Variable Aperture technology allows the KLEEMANN damper to have a variety of compression and rebound rates. The quicker and farther the damper is compressed, the stiffer it becomes.
The end result is a suspension that performs like no other, giving a comfortable ride on the street, while providing unmatched handling dynamics during spirited driving.

Nice! Konis are definitely NOT speed sensitive. THey're rough when you're only going 25-35 MPH. They're magical on an empty country road going balls out though. I drove a friends AMG CLK 55 (Older like yours not the new one). I couldn't believe how well it road yet how tight it was at the same time.

Kleemann makes better stuff than AMG which I was shocked to find out. Kleemann is better than Lorinser, Brabus and AMG.
Very expensive though very expensive. remember they are able to supercharge the amg 55 models which mean they make the good even better.

Bahhahhahhahhahha prices are proportional???
what the f does that mean exactly if Comptech offers a similar system you guys would buy it but only if it were priced "proportionally"?????Just when i thought i heard it all i hear this and I know all is well .Let me guess a Mercedes guy probably will get proportionally more money for the same install as well ???

'Big Daddy Diggler'
Just the other dy i went to a guy to price out some tires and he gave me one price. My father pulled up to the same place in his benzo and they quoted him 35 more per tire, for the same tire. Watcha gotta do when getting stuff like tires and rims, is say you have a cheap car and just give them the size you need, or they will get you.
