Changing your tranny fluid is key to prolonging the life of the tranny, flushings is not recommended, but draining and filling won't hurt anything. I change my fluid every spring when I pull her out of the garage

I definitely agree on changing the fluid (drain and fill, NO flush)... also I know on the honda autos a transmission cooler was recommended by my mechanic for a little extra help, I imagine it might help on these automatics as well. Very nice ride, congrats!

trans cooler can do more harm than good. depending on where u live.

Minimum operating temperature is a must, and the cooler slows that process of getting there by a lot which can cause premature wear. and the cooler will only REALLY do it's job if u are WOT for a while and switching gears... IE on a track.

it's a waste of money I think. I was seriously inquiring on it and then after hearing all the pros and cons, it's just not worth the 200 and my time.... cause in the winter I'd have to REMOVE IT

Yea man, we are lucky where we live. we rarely ever get those HOT and smoggy days where the air is just THICK and u feel the car slacking.
And brakes don't warp as easily cause they can dissipate the heat quicker. Which is why I got DBA fronts and EBC rears and it's AWESOME now... really

shyt I didn't even notice ur local. verry nice.

definately need to be getting in a meet. I never gone to one b4 so, it'd be nice to check some of the other CLs out to see where I stand. LOL

keep the addiction alive.

But if ur looking for more power I'd get the pulley, the 09 TL SH-AW manifold(450est.) we are in canada, and P2R thermo gaskets and tb spacer(150USD on Excelerateperformance.com ).

i love this car all year around. gonna drive it till the wheels fall off.

how many kms on ur car? what intersection do u live near? I live like 500meters from erin mills and QEW

for an 18yr old u got some nice wheels. must be a big saver... unlike me, blowing my $ on everything

Fiy: if u put the car in d2, that doesn't mean its gonna start moving from second gear. Gonna start ant 1st and then go to 2nd and stay their until u upshift

no.. the car starts in 2nd gear is says in the manual (so a member claims (i don't read no instructions though LOL))

I thought the same thing until i was proven wrong by another member.

and dude... don't worry about a bypass valve, that's all people getting their panties in a bunch.

I had a probe with the CAI 4 inches from the ground with no deflector, protector... nothing!! it was sucking straight off the ground directly vertical (less than a 1.5ft long pipe) for 5 years STRAIGHT and not once did i run into a problem. I drove it all year round, and rain lol i didn't give a shit about no rain.

way i see it, if ur gonna run over a puddle and have problems, u'll have problems period

P.S if VSA is disabled is the 2nd throttle body under the hood?

u MAY have the 6 speed intake on ur car which is longer and uses up that space where the VSA used to be. some people remover the VSA throttle body cause they think it gives more power... who knows what the gains really are. but if that is the case, "fixing ur VSA" will require some parts

Bypass valves are a JOKE, u need to completely submerge ur intake in water for it to WORK... what good is that!!!!

don't waste ur money.

Sorry it's not D2 it's 2... there is only d3, d4, and d5... 1 and 2 are single gears... guaranteed rajca. unless u got some freak of nature lol

we gotta line our cars up dotCCL ^
you best be coming to the track this spring

personally i think vsa delet is like 3-5hp at MOST and that's being generous.

I'd rather have the added traction in shitty weather and have a fuly functional car than delete something for unnoticeable gains... that's just me tho.

yea that shit is illegal in canada, it's a controlled substance. so unless u got hook ups and are willing to take the risk (neither of which I am) then it's plausible

Yeah 1st off its illegal here and they will give you the death penlaty( just joking) and 2nd there is better ways to get "natural power" then "spray"

If you werent natuarlly aspirated you would of took him for sure.

Either way just think a V6 had a Gt 4.6L off the bat...if that was a redlight race he would be left wondering

spray might be illegal where the op is. but as long as the bottle(s) are closed,or is it disconnected, ur good to go. its not diff than a turbo or sc. all 3 add power in some way. all 3 and their ups and downs, all 3 are good. but nitrous is the cheapest way to get lots of power. then it lies in the tuning to keep ur block together.
