Kinda new!

Hey guys, just thought i would introduce myself on here...im Justin!

I have a 1998 Acura 3.0CL and i just picked up a 2001 Acura 3.2CL type s off a fellow member(stylin on you) or something like that.

Anyways just thought i would share!

And just for anyone who doesnt know... the car has an AEM coldair, Comptech headers, Eibach pro kit, tokico shocks and some other goodies for the time.
The road lamps are tinted black , not to sure how to turn them on though, would like to know

In the summer ill be throwing on my dads 18" Deep dish gunmetal rims until i get rims ( i picked it up with only steelies)

Also i have a friend selling his greddy evo 2 exhaust that ill be picking up.

Thats my 98 CL for the record..soon to be forsale!

Thanks everyone!

its more like it will free up power but it will be about 10hp and to turn on the roadlamps there will be a button on your left near the sunroof button

Unless he installed one

there is no switch to turn on the road lamps in the 01, they should go on with the the headlights

I just saw the ontario plate I was hoping there was another CL in the ottawa area, NO luck

Sounds like there burnt or non existant

Welcome, looks like you picked up a clean ride!
Glad your changing the wheels, haha!

x2 on the '03 tails. I can't say much cause i'm missing the headlights!

Def seems like the parking lights are burned out. But they may be disconnected (might be why they are tinted so dark, maybe to hide them). Ask the seller if he disconnected 'em. Pretty easy trial and error to figure that one out. GL!

Welcome to the 2nd Gen side! How's the power difference? Guess it's hard to test out on a day like today! Nasty out there. The Option pulley is a good power mod.

hey man I have always been curious about the DIFFERENCE between the j30 and j32a2...

obv u got some mods also on the new car, but overall how much of an upgrade is the 3.2cl from the 3.0cl

since u have both cars i think ur the perfect person to ask.

And yes get that damn option pulley, best hp/$ mod period.

I spent much time CONVINCING ppl that is a wicked mod and i'm pretty sure they can all agree with me. I am done persuading people tho, hopefully some other option pulley ppl will take my place as the pulley persuader LOL.

nice find BTW enjoy that ride!..

and DO a tranny fluid change ASAP, 3x3 and use honda fluid. change ATF filter on tranny (located under intake).

our cars are awesome if u can maintain the trans, so just done some precautionary maintance and u should be fine.

soon the better

Thanks for the advice...i actualyl worked for Honda/Acura for a bout 2 years and my brother is a service manager for Acura so im pretty well aware of these cars... Family full of Honda/acura i can pretty much fix and work on anything of them.

And to compare the J30 to the J32... no comparison to be honest...

Starting with the J30 being a 4spd auto, vtec kicking in at 3500, redline being 6300, the J32 will smoke it right from the launch.

My 1st gen doesnt have traction control, so i never actually got the tires to spin for very long.

I had the upgraded interior on my 1st gen, so it had the wood grain that flowed in to the center console, pretty much like the CL-S but for interior , the CL-S would have to win for more rooom ,better seats and more up to date, interior was pretty much a 94-97 Accord with a plastic wood trim ahha.

My 1st gen was 4x114.3 for the bolt pattern, wheels were limited of course, so the CL-S wins again.

Both have the same amount of trunk space, neither of the seats go rigth down both have that little crawl space.

With the 1st gen being alittle lower, it handled great but yesterday i had the CL-S handle amazing for the weight of the car

Alot of features i really like with the new car, really makes my 1st gen look like pooh ahaa

Im really happy with the 2nd gen and actually never thought i would of bought one since i had my eye on a 2nd gen TL... Glad i got a CL again.

Hope that gives you a good idea of the difference...can you supply a link for the pulley so i can see the horse power gain and what not? Thanks
I feel welcomed here...

Interior pic of my old CL just to show what im talkin about!

Did Miro include his old front lip with the car? He had one on there at one point. The full lip kit does look nice...
maybe you'll see one some day on a CL...

there is no dynoed gain if i were to tell you though it's BETTER than an intake.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/97-02-ACURA-CL-99...item518947f773

I have that on my car for the last 25000kms and it's BEAUTIFUL, i LOVE it...

And without, i like it without to be honest!

My 1st gen looked like it was missin a lip, but this car flows nicely without IMO.

And that pulley looks good! Will have to invest in that when i get alittle bit more lee way with the mooulaa

no, you should change your tranny fluid. infact you should do a 3x3, the only thing you shouldnt do is a flush.

it doesnt make much sense to run our auto trannys with old, dark, burnt fluid. some people change the fluid every oil change~every 8-10k.

Unlike the TL's foglights, the roadlamps are not wired to a switch from the factory. They turn on when the headlights are on.
