so me and my fiancee were sitting at a light, dead stop. there are two lanes that go to one between 1/8 and 1/4 mile ahead. a car rolls up and continues rolling (5-10mph) as the light is turning green. we both know the road merges and both haul ass towards the checkered flag. at first as it rolled up i thought it was a TA but once its bumper was in front of mine i saw that it was a firebird. by the end of first we were at his door and by the end of 2nd he was at our bumper and then he was looking at the rear of my car. so basically the cls beat the firebird from a stop while the firebird had a rolling start...... oh yeah... and one other thing... my fiancee was the one driving my car!!!!!

good kill. A CLS should have no problem beating a V6 camaro/ firebird. I believe they have a 3.8L 200 hp engine.

come to think of it... if he was rolling at 5-10 miles per hour... he was probably in second gear if he was a MT. In that case you would definitely have the jump on him, since he wouldn't be pulling that hard in second (low revs) so even a Z28 would have trouble competing since he wouldn't be in his powerband.
