Killed couple nice V8
Three wide lanes stretch 1/2 a mile with nobody in front with 55mph limit on a nice cool Sunday afternoon. Approaching the light in the middle lane, guess who pulled on the left and right - BMW 550i (360hp/360lbs.tq) and Infiniti M45 (335hp/340lbs. tq) .
As amazing as it sounds, M45 pointing to his passenger on my Rotora BBK and revs on me while 550i staring at my hood and gave me THAT look.
Light turned green and evebody floor it as expected and went up to 90-100mph. Result - about 2-2.5 cars on 550i who kept up pretty good up to 50mph (stick?) and about 4 on M45.
At the next light, they both don' t even look and made a left turn. That made my day and put a big on my face.

The funny part is I can easily afford 550i new, however I have more important things in life and rather get it slightly used (under 30K mi). I might consider one with a stick as my next vehicle and have fun with it. For now, I have fun with "sleeper" AV6 and stock G35s.

no way he could do 108 mph and get time of 12.8 on a 1/8

I find it hard to believe that you are running 12.89 in the 1/4 mile @ 108 mph. When Seattle cls is running 12.8 @ 116 mph. Sounds like you are a mid to high 13 sec car realisticly. That puts you running with a CTS-V. There is no way a blown CL-S will hang with a blown CTS-V.

Wow man, your gonna get rapped for posting a message like that without knowing the facts about his car. LOL, I can't wait till the big boys get a hold of your ass.
You need to apologize and take your foot out of your mouth.....

2)his car is highly modified. check his sig
3)he was using drag radials
4)he posted a link to a slip to verify his run

Seriously what more proof do you want . That has to be the dumbest thing to say, just the mod list and knowing the AV6 is lighter should let you know its possible in his car and not ours.

According to your logic if I didn't run 12.89 with 108.76mph and 1.93 60' with DR on my 3165lbs vehicle, then neither this 263whp/247wtq NA 2002 Maxima on slicks with 1.9 60' and 12.8@108mph which has less power than me, right? Go ahead check this link - http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=377044
And if you're illiteral and ignorant to compare mine with more powerful blown CTS-V with 116mph trap on this run with mine, his modest 2.168 60' time reference would tell you had he managed to run 1.9 sec as I did, his vehicle would have been clocked at least 12.4 with 117mph+. Yet, I'm sure the track Seatle-CLS went on has elevation which subtracts the numbers as well plus his manual driving skills could affect the results which come with practice only especially on the track.
I let you pass this time with your ridiculous post and if you still attempt to post something stupid despite presented facts (see timeslip and pics link above), I just going to ignore you incompetence and could care less whether you believe it or not. Everything I have built on this car has been documented on AV6 board along with posts here. Do your own research on AV6 board and see my previous low 13s timeslips with less mods.

What a tool that crippler22 :troutslap
Track condition, elevation, street tires vs. DR, driving skills, car's weight makes a difference ever heard of that? And why da hell you comparing ETs with different vehicles, 60' time and mph. Trap speed is pure indication of power difference. And like 02AV6 said had he trimmed his 60' time to at least 1.9 he would've run low 12s easy with over 117mph.
And if you want me to be like you, I'd say something like this:
Go drive your Impala SS troll

When I had the S/C'd CLS I dyno'd 280whp and ran 13.4@105. If 02AV6 has 340whp with the IC, then 12's should easily be had running drag radials.
As far as 02AV6 running 12.8@108 vs. my 12.8@116 in the CTS-V it is entirely possible givin many different factors already discussed above. If fact, I ran 12.8 three times that day all with different trap speeds - once @ 115, @116 and @110mph. Some drag cars run 11's with lower trap speeds than me!

crippler22, you're and idiot if you REALLY think your FWD STOCK heavy boat Impala SS can run 90mph in 1/8 mile with only 303hp.
What kind of grass are you smoking?
Frigging C5 Vette with bolt-ons runs 90mph on 1/8 mile (http://www.dragtimes.com/Chevrolet-C...slip-7215.html) and you want us to believe you shit does the same from the factory? What a joke.

I also find it hard to believe that a 3700lb 303hp (crank) SS can trap 90 mph in the 1/8. I'll have to go dig up my timeslip but I think I'm barely at 90mph and I should have slightly over 500 crank hp and only 150lbs more weight. I'll need to see a timeslip on that one.
Good runs on those other cars though. Anything can happen at the track...especially if you're going up against cars with manual transmissions and shitty drivers

Nice kills. I lost to an M45 from 3 stop lights in a row. I couldn't believe it til I got home and looked at the specs. This is before my UR pulley and CAI so things might be different now...

I just looked up my timeslip:
60' - 2.168
1/8 - 8.438 @ 91.67
1/4 - 12.850 @ 116.11
If I could get my 60' down another 10th I should be looking at mid-12's. I do fear for my rear differential though...

All that I know is that at an 1/8 mile drag event my Impala SS was doing 90 mph at the finish line weather or not it was a true 1/8 mile I don't know. I didn't measure it, I was too busy racing. Also, I love my 4 speed tranny on the highway especially when I am getting 30 mpg out of a V-8 cruising 75-80 mph. I really loved my 4 speed tranny when I blew the doors off of my friends 03 CL-S with a 5 speed tranny. I also like how on this site if you question something you are made out to be an idiot. A simple check out what av6ent did to his car would have been nice. But I guess its easier to throw names and say I am smoking something. Problem is I never smoked and I don't drink I only race. So if you have something to prove bring it to the drag strip.
