K&N filter install?

K&N filter install?
HELP!!! I either woke up severely stupid this morning or this is the worst replacement air of K&N's I have ever seen! Which way does it install, with the protrusion of the screen towards the air box or the engine? It seems to fit either way.

Hey i had problems too when i got mine. had to do a little trimmin the the out side rubber.
