Just joined the club

Just joined yall's forum last thursday and have been kinda looking around getting used to things. I found out about this actually from my salesman because he knew I liked to mod my cars as far as possible. I basically have $10,000 set out for my CL and was wondering what the best mods would be. Also what new mods are coming out? Thanks alot.

10G!!!! DAMN. What cant you buy?!?! Nice to have you around, good looking color combo by the way. If it were me, I would go with an Intake, springs, sways, exhaust, headers, koni adjustables, and some rims. Maybe a Brembo brake system or just get new rotors and pads.
BTW, Supercharger is coming out soon (supposedly, which is what I am waiting for) and a RES. Good luck and post some pics.

Thanks for the help...As I said in another post, I will most likely buy a set of Shanwns (I think this is the guy, sorry if I am wrong) because they look gorgeous on his car and I have the same car....Yea, supercharger would be absolutely amazing on this car....The 530 has one and its a world of difference.....I am not married yet so I can blow the whole paycheck on myself which is real real nice.

Thank you, the prices are very helpful. I have a friend that will help me install most of these. I did everything myself on the 530 except for the supercharger, I would blow the damn car up if I had. Where can I buy all of these at? Is there one website or store that has them all?

I would but I am not really a big fan of systems. Plus it weighs the car down. If I do anything with the system, it will be changing all speakers over to Alpine and adding an extra amp. Supercharger is starting to sound really good though

If I did this, what kind of HP estimate do you think I could get?

you'd better set some $$ aside to harden your tranny (even if it is a 6 speed) and engine as well if you go the TT route.

They can do a twin turbo setup for you at Rick Case Acura in Florida. Since you live in Georgia...it might be worth the drive.

yeah...add an aftermarket tranny to the bill;

Level 10 makes one for the CL. Should be pretty bullet proof. Without something like this, if you put alot of mods on (especially TT) your tranny's probably gonna bite it.

Several people on Various other forums stated they had terrible customer service and poor workmanship. IMO from those accounts alone I would stay away.

Thanks. Thats been my goal for the past 3 weeks. I was very pleased the way that it drove.
By the way, yall will be happy to know that I traded in my 2001 330CI for it Power difference is ridiculous between them. Beemer still holds a lil edge in the handling dept. Thats what springs, sways, and strut bars are for though Ill post pics of both my cars in 2 weeks when my digital camera gets fixed.

delta, welcome 2 the board bro How u like that 530 man? My dad needs a car and is looking into one even though he knows 02 is the last model yr (says that the upcoming 5series looks 2 weird and that the current one is of timeless beauty lol)

Anyway, since ur primarily concerned w/performance, u should obviouly take a look at light weight but stylish wheels. Try centerlinewheels.com. Their 18s only weigh 14.4 lbs approximately, although I suggest u just get 17s from them which are even lighter Good luck w/ur car bro and keep us posted.

p.s. no peeps i'm not a spokesperson from centerline wheels lol I wish I was though, then I'd get paid 4 praising them lol

I love the 530. Its amazing after modding that and now looking at modding the CL, the price difference between the two. Although Dinan has a supercharger in the works for the 530, Im gonna take that money toward the Acura.

Delta have u ran ur 530 at the strip after modding ur car? If so what were ur times, or what times would u expect now? I know ESS has an s/c 4 the 3.0 engine but I hear they are shaky in terms of quality and durability.
