Just installed my 9005 high beams and have a queston.

I just installed my yellow 9005 high beams. They are 100watt but the stock are 60watt. Will the 100watts melt my housing?

And on top of the housing and wiring ...

Lots of these 100W bulbs are not made of the proper quality quartz glass that cuts out the UV light produced. The higher level of UV then goes on to yellow your plastic headlamp covers from the inside out ...

Is it name brand or some off brand?

And if that all is the case, why bother in the first place?

The wiring can melt in seconds by the way. I just don't know if 100W will do it.

So what about 80 watts? Will it still melt the wiring and housing?
