Just got my 1st Acura!!!
Hi Everyone! I'm new here! I just bought my 2003 CLS on Saturday and it's great. It's a big change for me because I use to drive a 550hp '91 mustang.
The CLS is much nicer and quieter, which I like (so does the fiancé)! I love everything about the car but I would just add one thing...fog lights. I already read a million threads and I know this has been talked to death about them. Honestly, I like the look of them and it's too bad the 2003 CLS didn't come with either road lamps or fog lights. Without too much headache & aggrevation, i'm trying to figure out what to do. I would rather just get the road lamps and put the PIAA lights in and be done. Wiring them in with the headlights sounds easy but might not be the safest thing to do. if I guess finding a set of roadlamps might be difficult. What does everyone else think

The problem witht the previous roadlamps on the earlier years was that they don't illuminate anything in your path, so they are aesthetic. If you want to add some aftermarket lights, look into the Micro De (or Micro De Xenon, which I have on my other car) made by Hella, they are extremely small and do the job quite well.
Oh btw: WELCOME!

Cool...Thanks for the reply! I actually just like the look of the oem road lamps on the bottom bumper. Yes, I think they are aesthetically pleasing than the black things. That's what I really want to get.

Check out: Installing Road Lamps in a 2003 CLS
And it's plenty safe to wiring into the headlight as long as you terminate and insulate everything properly. Adding an in-line fuse would be a good idea. You should be able to order these road lamps through any Acura dealer. They're inexpensive but you may have to wait a while. Drop in some PIAA 19244 bulbs and they'll look well match to the headlights and will provide a little illumination on the road between the front bumper and where the headlights begin to focus on the road. But they are no way as bright as real fogs. Some folks go with after market fogs; but none of them IMO fit or look as good on the car.

Thanks everyone....i figured i'd get some mustang jokes. The car was great but I wanted something reliable and nice with some power.
It is nighthawk black pearl without navi....tried to find 6spd but I ended up getting 5 speed auto.

IMO the clear 01/02 foglights dont look right with the smoked 03 headlights. It would be just as easy to get some nice aftermarket ones, and they would actually be functional as well as look nice.
