On the parts list, it says:

1 - Comptech Sport front Sway Bar
1 - Comptech Sport rear Sway Bar
2 - 7/8" Retaining Clips
1 - Rear bushing kit
4 - 8mm x 1.25 x 16 bolts
2 - 1 1/16" Retaining clips
1 - Roll Teflon Tape



Sway bars, check.
bolts, check.
Tape, check.

That leaves me with --

2 - 7/8" Retaining Clips
1 - Rear bushing kit
2 - 1 1/16" Retaining clips

All I have left is 2 red things and 2 metal clips. Am I missing parts??

The red things are the rear bushings.

What about the metal brackets? Is that part of the bushing kit, along with the red bushings?

I guess I'm missing the 7/8" clips and 1 1/16" clips?





Also, are the bars supposed to be silver or black? I got silver ones, but they have a picture of black ones on the web site.

This is going on an '03 TL-S.

If you have a pair of clips and bushings, you should be good to go. Plus ... I suggest using good quality grease on the bushings instead of the tape. Lasts a lot longer ... no squeaks.

My CT sways are black ... FWIW.

I just checked with Austin. It seems that Comptech messed up on the parts list. The front bar uses the stock bushings and brackets, and therefore the kit does not come with them. However, Comptech does list them on the parts list. That's where I got really confused.

As soon as my car comes back from the body shop next week, I'm gonna get cranking on the sway bars. I'm excited.


And they changed the bars to silver about 6 months ago.

DO we need these bolts? or can we use the OEM once on the Sways?

Bought mine used but didn't come with those!?

I have no idea, ComptechCLS. To be on the safe side, you might want to check it out and make sure they are not loose.

I thought Comptech was using rubber bushings now to prevent squeaking.

wow, I put mine on about 6 months ago and they're silver, I guess I got some of the first silver ones.

That's worth at least as many extra HP as a sticker!
