Just got AEM CAI

Just got AEM CAI

well I finally got my AEM installed. MAN, it definitely has a sweet sound to it. You can definitely feel the difference.

any annoying wooshing sound? when engine is cold only?

do u mean the hissing right when it starts up, mine does that. i think it just the air being sucked in when its cold, maybe not?

I notice that you both live in the southeren side of the conutry.

Here in the NorthEast we have something cold weather. The engine will idle at some 1200 rpm if not more. When the Engine is cold, the CAI ( Actually, I think it is the Throtlle body ) will just make wooshing sound.

Once the engine is warmed up and the rpm will drop to 600-750, the wooshing sound will go away, then, at low engine rpm, and at "low load" the faint hissing sound could be heard.

This is what I have with my Injen CAI.

The CAI from AEM is $213.95 + $46.88 (for the bypass valve) + shipping. I think I am going to wait for Comptech to make their CAI for our cars!
