Just in case u DON'T yet know how good Park Ave. Acura is...

here are the results of my 11,200 mile checkup:

1. Oil change - i provided Mobil 1 5W30, Jens took care of the rest

2. Windshield wiper system replaced
- includes replacing hoses, fluid, and wiper blades

3. Rotors resurfaced (for the second time - first time was at 7,500 miles) and front brake pads replaced (not sure if they're the '02 TL pads that supposedly are better)...driving home in the rain, i noticed the brakes were tighter, brake pedal felt a little more stiff

4. Sunroof rattle fixed

5. Headlights adjusted

6. 4-wheel alignment...ok, according to Jens, my alignment was off 1/4 inch towards the left...at present, i still could not tell that it was off...i dunno how long i've had this condition, but Jens diagnoses it in 5 minutes...works for me...DAMN LONG ISLAND POTHOLES!!!!!

Total bill: $16.70

that's not all...i was about to leave when i get bombarded with gifts...and im not talkin 2 or 3 things...im talkin T-shirt and hat, key chain, EZ-Pass tag holder, tire-pressure guage, city/state road maps, handy pouch with aspirin, Park Ave license plate frames, and last but not least, a very cool lookin Park Ave desk-clock.

now, can Park Ave. b any cooler??

Wayne, u and Jens and Pete and Vinny and everyone else there are THE best automobile businessmen i have EVER met...we've had Mercedes, BMW's, Infiniti's, Nissan's, and Honda's in my family since the 70's, and i have NEVER met a bunch of people who take such care of each customer, whether it's offering someone a ride to the mall to offering lunch to allowing the customer to examine work being done on the car, etc. it makes a HUGE difference...the fan mail board u got is further proof...u better believe i will b coming back to u again and again for all my service needs...again, heartfelt thanx to u all at Park Ave for paying so much attention to my car at such an affordable price...can't wait till the next Park Ave meet in the spring

Yea they are def. great guys there. We bought our car out of random from their dealer, and were greatly pleased.

Awesome service. I respect Park Ave Acura. The only thing that im worried about is the fact that your rotors have been resurfaced twice. At this point I think it would be best for Acura to replace them with new ones.

i agree, except the next time i get service done, it'll b before 15K, so perhaps i will need new ones by then

also, i forgot to mention, there is ONE tiny critique...directions on the website...they kinda don't give u any...the map only works so well...i tried doing directions on Mapquest, but they didn't exactly work all that well either...after circling around a 10 square mile area for an hour and asking numerous people, i FINALLY found it...is it possible to put a "Directions for dummies/Non-NAV owners" section on the site??

I guess you should have sprung for the NAV system.
For the last Park Ave MEET the NAV took me from PA right to their front door.

do I have to print out this thread and show it to them to get the same service? I'm already going to get the comptech exhaust put in over there. I live in Yonkers and got my car at Curry acura, who claim to be the number one dealer in terms of service etc. and have it in printed proof! However, they are decent, but it sounds like park acura is better. Gonna have to check it out first hand, thank God for Nav...

Thank you for the many kind words everybody.Scooter the pads I installed in your car are the new pads from the bulletin. Most likely when you had the rotors resurfaced the last time the bulletin had not been issued yet so your dealer simply resurfaced them and reused or replaced the pads with the original ones.So far we have had good luck with the new pads called out from the bulletin. To make an appointment with us you can call us directly at (201)587-0029 or visit our website at WWW.PARKAVEACURA.COM you can make an appointment there one of our writers will call to confirm the specifics.
Thanks again everyone and nice to finally meet you in person Scooter!! have a great holiday .Jens

I drive up to VT all the time from Joizey. You should be able to do Albany to Maywood in a bit over 2 hours... (Just not this time of year, the Rt.17/4 Paramus mall traffic is terrible...)

Heck, the guy in the CL-S commercial drives more than that just for lunch.

Thanks for the kind words Scooter. It was great to meet you and we thank you for your business. At least you know how to find us now! Your brakes should be better and last longer now- the revised pads help alot. Have a safe and happy holiday-

That is so cool.
I guess we have to mention to them that we went to Park Ave due to acura-cl.com because I went there for my oil change in early Novembre and I did not get any gifts.

I will mention it when i go for my 15k mile servicing.
