Just bought my snow package from TireRack
Just got 225/50/17 Front and 235/50/17 Rear Bridgestone Blizzaks mounted on Sport Edition Fox 5 rims for the G. A little over 1300 with locks and shipping. The front tires are on backorder...I should get everything on November 8th. I can't wait to see how this pig handles in snow. Thank god for the gf's A4 1.8T...I think I may be using it quite a bit this winter!!!

You should be OK, but I would have gone with 16” Rims and narrower tires if they fit.
With a 225 & 235 width you’re still gonna be riding up on top of the snow.
Don’t 16” wheels fit on there?
I use 16” Rims with 205/60 series BLIZZAK tires on my CL-S.

16's won't fit with the Brembos...17's as small as you can go. I asked the rep at Tirerack as I agree, the widths do seem a bit too big for snows, but he says this is the fitment for this car that works the best. I'll be sure to keep you all posted about how it goes in the snow.

Yea, that’s what I thought. That's the main reason why I haven’t upgraded MY brakes/rotors yet.
I still need to fit my 16” TL Rims on there.
You should be OK though. The tread pattern and rubber compound will be a big help.
And get used to starting out in 2nd gear.

Todd... I'm going to order later this month.
I'll be going with the same rims, but with Pirellis for tires. I'd rather have a narrower tire in the back. So I'm going with 225/50/17 in the front and 225/55/17 in the back.
I think it'll run me $1240 shipped.
