Must be some marketing experts at Honda/Acura

They market the Element to young people and the older crowd buys it, they marketed the CLS to older people, and the younger crowd buys it.

I'm really impressed w/ their marketing skills

Thats because younger people want manual trannies & lots of hp, not a box on wheels.

Sorry, but I aint feeling the Element at all. Reminds me of a kinder, more Lego-like Aztek. As long as you dig it though that's all that matters.

Elements are nice when they're fixed up. Saw a black one the other day with tint, dropped on rims. Pretty damn clean if u ask me and i'm in that age group (21).

Elements may look kinida weird, but the inside and dash is VERY functional and looks like it will hold up well.

I think it looks like a pontiac AzTek... Ok not that bad but it does look like a POS.

Every time I see one I look inside to see who the fuck would buy such a hideous vehicle...

I just got to stick my $.02 cents in on the Element... it's a boxier Aztek... another example of the complete lack of taste in automotive design. This older gentleman is repulsed by it and the other fugly SUVs. Frankly, I can't think of one that's attractive. To put it in historical perspective, the SUV is today's version of the pioneer's covered wagon (Conestoga).

I feel better now.

I think the Element is a clever design and very friendly looking.
It's a unique and integrated design concept. The Aztek was an eyesore, designed by a committee that couldn't agree on a direction so designed one piece of it at a time.

my cousin has one and has the roof rack. looks more sporty. he just dropped some 18s on it. he also got the orange element to.

his looks pretty pimp compared to the stock elements rolling around here.

Congrats on your purchase; I guess the saying "to each his own" is legit.

That's gotta be the ONLY Honda vehicle that I totally dont like.

And what is up with the box look; it wasnt too long ago that Volvo what getting kicked around for their boxy cars. And now Honda produces their box on wheels and gets raves:

then Toyota (dba Scion:

That said, I hope Nissan doesnt import their Cube from Japan:

Just my $.02

I don't like the Element for the same reason I don't like the Mercedes "G Wagon".....a box on wheels just isn't appealing to me. All automobiles need to be somewhat aerodynamic.

edit: Maybe if it didn't have all that plastic-y rubber looking stuff on the exterior....like the Chevy Avalanche. If it was all body color I think it would look worlds better.
