Just bought an '03 CL-S 6spd!

Hey
Im new to the family with a 2003 CL type S with the 6spd. I own to 1991 Legends, a sedan and coupe, but have just barely sold my sedan today and still working on selling my coupe. the cl-s was parked right up front at the dealership for the past month and ive been eyeing everyday and been working on selling my legends and today i went and put down the deposit on the car. I'm gonna be picking it up tuesday i believe. Sorry no pics as of now, here are a couple quick details.

-6 speed manual
-Silver/black
-30k miles
-Comptech headers and exhaust, and i looked under the hood and even though the dealer didnt mention it, i think i saw a comptech ice box setup.

I took it for a test drive when i was making the deposit and WOW is all i gotta say, ive got a few too many points on my license right now..i hope the new whip doesnt make that worse lol. I'll post pics when i pick it up.

You mean you own "two" legends? But ya thats a good find. I'd get it, you'll be very happy. By the way, welcome to Acurazine....

haha thanks man. im turning 19 in two days and ive had a whole bunch of cars since i turned 16. i got a hand-me-down '93 Audi 90 on my 16th birthday but since then ive been paying my own way and proud to say it. i payed out of my pocket for the legend sedan and then took out a loan for the coupe, and ill be paying for this CL-S myself as well. im proud to say im pretty much completely independent from the rents..unfortunately im still living at home with them though..haha oh well.

off topic, a question here for anyone, the dealer offered me a 100k mile bumper-to-bumper warranty for an extra 800 bucks. personally i dont see why i shouldnt go for it, anyone here have any reason why i shouldnt? such as..the warranty doesnt cover this and that etc etc. either way i should have the cl-s in my driveway by wednesday..cant wait!!!

I feel your joy. I just bought a 2003 cl-type s with 6sp manual two weeks ago with 48k and ita a certified acura pre-owned with warranty up 2 100k miles. Its silver with black interior and I couldn't be happier. For the last 4 1\2 years I drove a 2000 integra gs-r, which i loved, but it can't compare to the cl type s. I haven't really had a chance to hit it like i want to yet, but the torque is unbelieveable. There's power right through the whole power band, not just in the v-tec range. I did get to exercise it a little bit today out with my brother, and Iwas doing 130 before i knew it. The pull you get in 5th gear is amazing! For you veterans of the cl-s , I have a couple of questions. At what rpm does the aggressive cam lobe activate(v-tec kick in) and what is the top end speed of the car, i'm guessing somewhere around 150 or so? I would appreciate any info regarding these two questions. I will hopefully post some pics soon.

True true, thats the one i got, silver with black interior. its certified pre-owned as well, im gonna have to get the 100k mile warranty as well. i mean for 800 bucks for bumper-to-bumper, why not? do u know what exactly is covered under your warranty?
