This may be too late of a response but I just came across your post today... I installed a trailer hitch and I use a hitch-mount bike rack. It's worked out very well for me and there are a ton of options when it comes to hitch-mount bike racks. You hardly notice the hitch and the install was easy too.

thanks for the advice.

I actually went to get one installed last thursday and after the car came out not only was the hitch CROOKED but they dropped the fucking hitch into the side of the car on the quarter panel on my passenger side... OMFG

do not go to COBRA accessories. they didn't admit they didi it and I even had a witness... and in Ontario u cannot sue someone in small claims court for insurance related claims.

so I'm out my deductable 300$..

I got them to take that POS hitch off and I am picking u[ a different one from a differnt place tomorrow and will install it.

but yes u can barely see it and it's perfect for what i need.

thanks for the heads up tho.

Bones are about the only ones that will clear out spoilers if you have one. Great rack too.

well i just put the rack on today.

seems it's a little bit crooked since the frame of the car is bent from the accident (I think). so the rack is slightly tilted... like 1-2 inches once the bar goes all the way past the trunk... oh well..

can't notice when a bike is on the rack tho. so that's the important thing.

time to XC ride... anyone in the GTA got a bike they wanna put to some good use?

I have the Yakima rook rack and it works fine.. Unfortunately I do not have any pictures of it on the car at the moment.

i kind of thought the same thing. our roofs are pretty small and a roof rack might look cramped on top of it.

i've seen a few of my friends get the hitch style ones and they switched to the roof rack cause the hitch style messed up the paint a littlewhen the bike was being transported
