Any of you noticing all the different kinds of things you can find inside our bumper when you take off the front plastic piece right above the headlights? I had always find lotsa leaves getting stuck in there, even around the CAI filter, and seems like once they got in they can't really come out by themselves. Having to check and clean the stuff out everytime is just time consuming and such a hassle. My friend has an intercooler and it's wide exposed, in the winter it's been cumulating lots of salt residue, at one point some a small twig was found stuck in there along with a stack of leaves around the inside of the bumper. I just hate the idea that our car collects all these road junks without us really knowing that they're there messing up the cai filter and radiator.
That's why I designed the vent grill in the first place. Any reason why they never put some kind of mesh behind those black square vents in the middle?

 

I never noticed any junk in my 02 for the 1 1/2 years I had it.

 

When I took my bumper off recently, I found all kinds of crap from leaves to cigarette butts and lots of other road debris. I' hoping the lower grills will help with this

 

That's right, those of you who got the lower grill set up won't have any trouble with the junks coming in the bumper anymore . Filters and radiators don't belong together with leaves and other trash, not to mention roadkills, not gonna even go there.
