Jens, need some rear view mirror help.

Well my car is hardly ever garaged and after the heat from the summer, i noticed my rear view mirror has lost a lot of its resistance and moves around easily.
A speed bump, or even reflectors on the highway easily moves it out of place.
Is there an easy way to fix this? MY car's out of warranty, but the dealer is asking way too much plus install. Also i don't know if this will help, but i noticed a ring, or washer right next to where the bearing is and its seems loose... could that be something?

thanks.

if that ring is moving freely...then your mirror is broken. Now...on to the next step. If you don't want to pay much you could try and superglue that ring back on carefully and then put some sort of gummy shit on the bearing to prevent it from moving around. If this sounds too ghetto for you...I have one in excellent condition for sale...pm me if intrested
