Jens: ? about Springs
Jens,
Was doing a little research on the springs before I get them. To me, the H&R OE springs and the Comptech springs seem to have the same characteristics. 10%-15% firmer than stock and the same drop as listed by the two companies. Also loooks the same on vehicles. Since you have installed both, what is your opinion on this matter?
Thanks.

Personally I would go for the Comptech springs here's why.Having just put H&R springs in a TL the first thing I noticed was that with the car up on the lift the rear springs are too short and have a tendency to fall out of the upper perch. This is not so bad if you notice but if you don't catch it some strange stuff may happen.H&R claims to only drop the car .50 frt and .75 rear with the "OE" springs. The actual drop is quite a bit more and in this particular car was so low in the back that camber is now an issue on the car. With Comptech springs I have seen the camber go out about .1 degree with the H&R it was .8 on the right side. This is too much as anything past ..5 degrees is really going to start to wear the inner edge of the tires.Granted the Comptech is somewhat more expensive but this is not a cheap car so a few more dollars to get the good stuff seems worth it to me.I plan on swapping out my current APEX coilover springs with Comptech units. The springs that came with the APEX coilovers are bit too much for daily driving and I think I can make the Integra Type R Comptech springs work on these coilovers.Jens

Jens,
I understand what you are saying. But TypeR is right about the H&R being made for the TL. And they do seem to be very similar. H&R is a great company. Comptech doesn't make their own springs. Eibach no longer makes springs for them. So I'm just trying to put two and two together. Do the two physically look alike?
Thanks.
