J35a3 6 Speed

Wondering what 6 speed transmission will bolt up to a j35a3 from a 01 RDX . Planning on doing j35a3 block , 05 RL pistons (What crank/Rods do I run?) with my j32a2 heads and ECU . Bolted to some kind of 6 speed .Currently have a 6 speed in my CL that could be swapped. Any input on this build is appreciated, especially any wiring concerns, Thanks.

The first generation of RDX started in 2007; therefore, no automatic 4cyl. transmission will bolt up to a V6 J35A3 MDX block.

The only other 6MT that will bolt up to a J35A3, that I know of, is the manual trans from the 04-06 TL; however,
you would have to account for the missing #13 OEM crank sensor port provided on the CL-S MT to run the
CL-S6 ECU.

The 'spike' on the TL6 trans. gear shift lever, to connect the change wire(s), is also closer to the weight 'puck'
versus on the opposite end for the CL-S6 gear shift lever.

yeah, I think he meant mdx.

OP, j35a3 is essentially the same block with different internals. you need the 35 crank and rods for 3.5. use 89mm pistons you want. cls. rl, mdx. just make sure you swap over the cls or better valve springs if you use other heads.

there's no wiring diff if you're just changing to j35a3 block.

are you saying put the cls6 bellhousing on another trans gearset, because doesn't only the cls6 bell house have the mount for the trans mounted sensor?
