Its true!!! AIR VASCAR

One of our fourm members got caught w/ a aireal vascar. You all know, the white lines on the highway. He said after going over the lines at 82mph the cop was just chillen like 5 miles down the road waiting for his ass and told him that the airplane vascar got him. Not even radar can pick this up cause all they do is calculate your distance/time. Watch out everyone. Sorry forgot his fourm id. hopefully he'll reply.

CT used to do that big time. I think they realized that they could get lots of laser/radar guns for the same price as a pilot/plane/insurance. But to keep the motoring population paranoid, the lines are still in the road!

Florida really sucks when it comes to this. Three people in my school (we only have 200)have been caught by VASCAR this year. Those lines are everywhere too. I was driving down to orlando from my house and saw helicopters just chilling above the road and then saw 5 or 6 cops with people pulled over a couple miles down the road. They did get a lot of people im sure but doesnt it cost a ton to put planes and helicopers in the air and kept them up just for speeders?

Drive with your sunroof open. This is common practice in the west where there is miles and miles of nothing.

Got my first aircraft VASCAR ticket in 1992 in Wisconsin, 80 in a 55. Cost me about $100 on a Visa card, since I was out of state.

The police sat in the median in plain view. By the time you saw him at least 1/2 mile ahead, you were already caught. On the freeway, they just pull in behind you and you are busted. Office pointed out the small fixed wing plane overhead, there was nothing I could say.

This is nothing new and it is nearly impossible to combat. You can't see the plane unless you have a passenger acting as a spotter. Not only do they fly too high but they fly over and above and slighly behind you (in your blindspot?). If you see the aircraft, it's because it's catching somebody else!

How long does it take to clock you? I don't know but I image they need two sets of lines to confirm. Doesn't matter cause if you're speeding, you're going to get busted anyway. VASCAR is the only way to use the stopwatch and the road markers (lines) from an aircraft.

BTW, I should mention that I called by telephone (pre-trial) to plead not guilty but accepted a guilty with a 64 in a 55 reduction and forfeiture of $100. Cops and tickets are no problem as long as you can plea-bargain.

lol...

I know a girl who lives in Boston...

She was doing almost 100 on the Mass Tpke... when all of the sudden a caravan of 5 cop cars pulled her over.

The damn airplanes got er!

The Mass troopers are rough.

The NYS police like to use Helicopters though.

Luckily their a lot easier to spot.

Same sh*t happened to me about 5 years ago in the middle of nowhere in Missouri. Cop saw my radar detector and just laughed when he told me an airplane had clocked me. Good news though. Missouri cops are crooked. Being out of state, I asked if I could take defensive driving or deferred adjudication like in Texas. Cop told me if I gave him twice the amount of the fine in cash he would make the ticket disappear. To this day, it hasn't shown up on my driving record.
