Angry Its Happend...imrc Not Working.... Help Please! Will Pay for Help!

...............Im F@#$IN HEATED!!!!!!!!

Ok, the last few days I had cleaned my air filter with k&n cleaner and oil. Then I started feeling there was a loss of power or something for sure. I checked my oil, so that cant be it.

So I download REALPLAYER and watch the video on how the IMRC works.

Have buddy rev my engine while I watch....... NOT WORKING..... For some reason I feel like the oil on the filter did it.... It just recently lacked the power!

"Note: I know you treated the car well, Im the one that did this. So don't take this the wrong way please." I guess this question is for LH.

-I saw that this car had some problems with the IMRC only working sometime's. Was it ever replaced or anything?-

How much does this cost to fix?.... If anyone can help that would be great!

If anyone in Colorado knows how to fix it I will gladly bring some Corona and Lime. And if you want me to pay I will. Someone Please help!

first off...calm down buddy....breath . Njzprettyboy has one for sale. They cost between 80 to 100 dollars. PM him before you look around though, he might give you a deal.

They are pretty easy to take off. There are two 10mm bolts on the rear header. Take them out and the IMRC will pop off.

There is a gold nut on the left side of the IM. take that out and you can successfully get the cable out. Reuse the cable, and nuts, and replace the IMRC.

And you're golden...

...you can send the corona my way if you want.

EDIT: Didn't Chris post something saying he is not responsible for the car any more, and won't help if you put up a thread like this....all mad and shit. Should have posted in an older thread, people still would have looked.

Easy as hell to replace. You shouldnt worry. Question is, did you rev it high enough for the actuator to open? If so, again, just buy the part and replace it. Doesn't take much skills to do so, you are in good hands...

Well, should I have it in "N" or "P" when Im revin it. And it he did put it to 5,500RMP. Is that enough????

In fact it was in "P" and he gave it gas to the limiter so yeah I hink 5,500RPM..

Is that high enough???

There's so much more to worry about in life man. Chill...............
Easy DIY fix. It's one of those CL parts that you should expect to have to replace. Maybe more then once.

Yes, there was a time when the IMRC was only functioning intermittenly. The problem seemed to stop after I lubed it a couple times so I forgot about it. As was posted above, the part is not real expensive nor is it hard to install, just buy a new one and put it on and you will be golden.

Also, I believe the IMRC engages around 3,800 RPM or so. Testing it in park is fine, no need to be in "N" for that.

Good luck, Chris.

EDIT: If the guy GM#2 said has one can't help you with a deal, go here https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=179592 and try to find he best deal on one of the sites posted.

GM... you should really watch the movie again man.... its 88mph! lol

Marty meets Doctor Brown at the Twin Pines Mall to film a demonstration of Doc's latest invention: a time-machine made from a modified DeLorean sports car, which must reach 88 miles-per-hour in order to travel through time. Doc tests the car by sending his dog Einstein one minute into the future. Overjoyed by this success, Doc demonstrates to Marty how the time machine works by entering several significant dates into the keypad. The last of these is November 5, 1955, the day that Doc first conceived of the flux capacitor, the device that makes time travel possible.
