I just read the article on the S8 review by AutoWeek in the November 5 issue. I'm puzzled by their remarks. They list under likes/dislikes Likes: Fast, fast, fast. Under performance they list the 0-60MPH times of 6.2 and 1/4 mile in 14.7 97.5MPH. Granted, those times are quick but not much quicker than a CL-S/TL-S. Why did we get the mediocre rating? This car cost $73,801 as tested.

 

I saw one last weekend at my local porche/audi dealer. pretty roomy but not worth the money. When they talk about speed they could mean it 'feel fast' or just highspeed's like after 60.

 

They like it because it is german.....

 

Heavy ugly yet fast car. Would save a little more for M5!:P

 

Screw that, I would personally get a 540 6 speed!

 

compare the S8 to a 740I or a S430, all in the 75,000 dollar range, M5 is much smaller, plus the mark up on the closes on the border of 85,000 to 90,000, the S8 will kill the 740 or the S430...plus S8 is more of a track car than any of the other two mentioned...plus it is naturally aspirated like the other two...S8 is a mean machine for its size...

 

I, personally, would rock the shit out of an S8.
