Interior Leather Colours

I have an '03 ABP 6speed with ebony interior leather. Last year I noticed a tear in the bottom of the driver's seat. Acura and my dealership agreed to split the cost of a new seat cover. It's been on for a few months now, but the colour appears to be more of a grey rather than black. I was wondering if anyone remember what colour choices were available for interiors. I have used lots of leather conditioner (Gold Class) on the new leather to see if maybe that's what the difference is but the seat is still more of a grey than a black. I would have expected the newer leather to be darker than my old leather but I don't remember what colour my seats were when they were brand new. Anyone have ideas if the dealership may have put in the wrong seat cover or could it just be the different ages of the seats?

Only 2 colors were available in CL's... Ebony and Parchment (I just double checked my 03 CL dealer brouchure). On some cars, like the ABP, only ebony was available...

Yep!! My seat is the same way. Had the covers replaced as well on the drivers side. The color is a little more gray then black. I complained, dealer ordered a 2nd set & the color was the same. They will not do anything else. Only options I have is to pay for the passanger side or find a used drivers seat or covers in good shape & replace them.
Seems to me Acura changed suppliers after 03 cause the leather is the same color as 04+ TL's.
The color difference isn't that bad. No one that's been in my car has noticed. Even at an Acura meet.

I just live with it. When I used a leather conditioner it started to blacken up a bit.

thankx for the pic.

I noticed too that the seat gets blacker when i conditioned it. So I conditioned it 2 times for every one time that I conditioned the other seats....unfortunately it didn't work. I guess it's only noticeable when no one is driving...lol Most people don't notice the colour (yes, that's with an 'ou' up here in Canada) difference until I pointed it out to them.
