Interested in the six speed

I am new to this forum and am in need of some helpful advice.

I am thinking about getting the 2003 cl six speed w/ navi. Just curious how the stock stereo system is. Good/ just OK? I am also wondering whether or not to get the navi system. I guess its a personal preference but has anyone that got the navi not used it much? Also I am not sure to lease or buy. Thanks!!!

Ive had mine for a almost a month and damn is all I have to say. I looked at the IS300, A4, and Maxima, and the CL clearly beats them all. The navi is great, the bose is ok...ive yet to install my twelve's, so we'll see. Other than that, its deceivingly fast as hell. Example, I ran a 91 5.0 mustang w/intake, headers, exhaust last night and won to 120 by about 3.5 cars. So.....like you said personal preference.

Re: Interested in the six speed

The 6spd CL is a nice car from what I heard...with the nice close gear ratio...it'll be as if you were training to drive the NSX some day. The stock stereo is okay...depends on how loud you play my music...I usually don't play my stereo too loud and I usually listen to all sorts of music but rarely rap. My friend was with me the other day and put in Eminem (a rapper) and turned up my system to like almost max it seemed to handle rather well. I do have to say that compared to the TL, we are missing that bass speaker so there may not be as much bass in the stock system as you like. I have mine turned up all the way and it still sounds like no bass. The navi is a must! If you have money to get it...I would recommend you to get it! My friend's sister bought a TL like about a year ago and didn't get the navi. She is regretting it now after she saw mine. At first you wouldn't think you would need it...that's what all my friends thought...but you actually do use it if you have it. Besides if you don't get it and later on you regret it and want it...it is extremely more so expensive to get it installed than if you had bought it in the first place. Trust me...get it...you won't regret it! As far as the leasing thing...I don't know I own mine. From what I've read here...the CLS has a poor resale value, but it depends on whether or not you are planning to keep the car or going to sale it. If you lease it you can always get a different car later on if for some odd reason you don't like the CL, which I would doubt.

Overall the car is very nice. The stereo is more than adaquite. I'm not looking for concert hall sound, I just want to hear all the instruments, and I do. No problem w/the bass. I opted for non navi. If you don't know your way around it's probably a must. Otherwise a gadget. I like gadgets but for the 2k I could spend it other ways, and I did.
