yep, plugged up all holes, gave them a good hot water cleaning with an old tooth brush and they leaked water in all along the bottom of both.... let them dry for the past 2 days and ran some clear silcone sealant all along the bottoms, will finish the tops another day.

they are both 500's... I checked today...
Also, the res tank has what seems to me 3-4 pieces of filter material inside.. should that stay in there???? what is it for? to keep the fluid from splashing around?? filtering out particiles?? .. please advise.

The foam in the reservoirs can be removed. They are for fuel applications to limit the sloshing. But since the volume will always be full with water then they are not needed.

will need wiped off with some metal polish... everyone kept telling me it needs clearcoated, but the polishing experts put that to rest today.
