Intercooler Anyone?

I pm'ed Scalbert today to see if there was any possibility that he would start making the ic's for us 2nd gen guys and he told me it could be a possibility given the amount of ppl interested. Just wondering, but how many of sc'ed guys would be interested?

I suppose I would be interested but then again price is a hurdle. i like to hagle on them when they are used and selling for $1500 tops.

BTW how are the K-sport coilovers? What spring rates are you running?

I agree, the price is definetly alot, but then again it's custom made so you have to figure in all the shit that goes with it. Dunno though b/c if we can get enough ppl maybe scalbert can hook us up?!
K-sports are good, but ride quality is shitty. Might need to adjust them b/c I haven't since they were installed. Wonder what most people are setting them at?

It would be a possibility. Price would also depend on what all components are desired. If it is just the IC its self, the price would be lower. But if the whole kit; heat exchanger, E-Manage, harness, etc. are desired the price owuld go up.

You like the clutch masters kit? How does it hold up to abuse?

Back on topic.

Saw the picture of this on the other forum, looks beefy. Definate "bling" factor as well as function.

Hi Scalbert,

Any chance you can make a plug and play harness for the AEM FIC?

I would also be interested in the IC.

Sure, it could be made but there are already maps created for the E-Manage.

It would need to be tuned but after reading the details, it would be fairly easy. In fact, I could probably get it about 80% right without even having it on the car. But that last 20% can often be the most difficult.

I will need to check with the machine shop on Monday as to how few they can run on the CNC. But I suspect it will be between $1200 and $1500.

We're back in business again. This has been approved by astro, and scalbert will get some more information and see how much interest there is in this project.

What is the pain threshold for this? I mentioned pricing above for single unit or small run. Is that out of the question? I ask this so as not to draw it out any further. What I am referring to as the assembly only is the main unit as shown below (with the cover of course).

My IC was only 500 bucks. but it's in a sandrail, so it can sit on top of the engine w/ a scoop for it
