I am a long time Acura fan, having owned 4 so far. A friend of mine has a 2003 CL with a bad trans. Great body, engine, interior, however. Seems a waste to see it head to the boneyard. My question is which Honda product sub-frame will bolt up to the CL body? I'll take anything but one with the infamous 5 speed automatic---2.3 4cyl or any 6 cylinder, even with a manual trans.

 

Just bolt up the manual transmission from 03 cls6 or 3rd Gen tl. It bolts right up to the existing motor.

There are several threads discussing this swap on this forum and others with parts lists that are needed.

I don't see any reason why you would want to swap to a 4 cylinder. It might make sense for autocross, but you'd be better off just getting a different car for autocross anyone since the cl is not even classed for SCCA national events.
