Integra vs. CL??
Integra vs. CL??
I was wondering if an integra is much better performance wise than the CL. I was considering getting an integra a couple of monthes ago but the CLs insurance is much better and i liked the luxery. I know that the CL is a better car when it comes to luxery, but what about performance? I think that the integra is lighter so that would give it a little edge. Also, will integra engine parts fit on a 1999 2.3 CL? Thanks to all posts!

i know the 2.2 and 2.3s are slow, comparable to a bottom of the line integra probably. if you get a gs-r, it can blow the 2.3 out of the water. i believe (correct me if iam wrong) the 2.2 are about 150hp with a curb of about 3000 pounds.
acuraman your numbers are pretty close (2.2 145 hp 2.3 150, just over 3k lbs). the 2.2s and 2.3 are pretty slow. i read on here that the teg would kill the cl in a short race but lose top end. i assume that is the basic teg and not the gsr, which would just slaughter the cl completely.
If I had the choice between a 99 CL and a '00 or '01 Integra GS-R, I get the GS-R. Has leather, sunroof, nice features, handles better and is most certainly quicker. Plus you are talking roughly the same price range of cars...
My friend has an '01 GS-R, 18k miles, added some 17" wheels, a lip, intake, suspension, headers and exhaust (quiet), and it is quick as h=ll and it handles incredibly. He bought the car 6 months ago for $16k and only spent $3.5k in mods and for under $20k, it's a great car.
