Integra Type-R vs 2nd Gen CL-S
I did a search and couldnt find anything...
I was racing what I thought was a riced out integra and barely notched him by a car length around 100mph . He pulled up to me and was puzzled like he'd never seen my type of car before . He asked me what I had and I told him that I was stock. Then I asked what he had and he said that he had a Type-R . I've seen Type-R's in mags and online but never upclose, but the funny thing is, his looked nothing like a Type-R.
What do you guys think, and should I have beatin' him by more?

What do you mean it looked nothing like a Type-R?
It's hard to tell the difference between a GS-R and a Type-R unless you know what you're looking for. Also, its mods probably changed the appearance a little bit.
Three of my friends have Integra Type-R's, two of them heavily modded and the last midly modded. They are no joke.

Yeah and the fact that it was up around 100 mph really makes it sound like a Type R unless it was worked it coulda been anything. Dont forget Honda motor swapping has become the norm. Regardless though, Type R's pull like a SOB in the top end. I've raced a buddy of mines many times with my VR6 Jetta and off the line I feel like any second I'm going to pull on him, around 60mph things are dead even, and as soon as I hit 80, he starts showing me his tailights followed soon after by his disappearing act. The thing is impressive but rev's like a motorcycle, though it sticks to the ground like bubble gum on a hot day.

type r came in distinctive colors, phoenix yellow?? (itr yellow), black, championship white.... couple of things you can tell between a stock gsr vs. itr would be gsr has 4lugs and itr has 5lugs also badging and it would also have a front lip...seats of course are not going to be leathers its black suede with red stitching, itr steering looks bad ass(you'll know it) arm rest has type r badge...gauge cluster redlines starts @ 8200rpm? theres probably some more i left out...but from outside sometimes its hard to tell from a modded gsr and a type r....gsr is b18c1 itr is b18c5...hmm thats about it...

Most people who have Type R take off the badges so people just think its modded LS or GSR...I say the only distinction as previously stated is the interior and if you can tell the stock rims have a gunmetal type color to them and are 5 lugs. Yes those little biatches move out.
