Intakes Won't Fit
Intakes Won't Fit
On the 6-Speed '03, the older CL-S intakes will not fit without some tinkering or redesign. Due to the change to LSD (Hrmmm???, never mind) with the deletion of VSA, the VSA throttle will not be installed.
Without the throttle, there is no place to couple the current intakes. An extension of some type would be needed. Or just go back and use the old TL/AV6 intakes, they will probably fit perfectly.
Just a little observation.
I went to the dealer today to begin negotiations, we'll probably have a contract done up and signed later this week!!! So I've already begun planning on the removal of mods in aticipation of the new 6-Speed.

i see no reason that the X wouldnt fit...
which means, that any intake will fit if you just chop 4 inches off the end and attach it the same way as the X.

My function is to oversee and sometimes implement the engineering aspects of the products we sell. Will they work in this application, are they cost effective, what is the ROI, etc. Then, in some cases, make it work....
My work does help with understanding the engine controls siginificantly. A PCM is not all too different from a PLC. But I do love seeing what makes something work and after being in an office all day turing a few wrenches is fun.
