Intake Question.

Does anyone know what the best intake system for (AT) CL-S' are? I'm looking for something that's going to sound really mean and generates a decent amount of power. I was thinking of going with an AEM product, cold air I assume. I was doing a little research and still can't understand why the AEM V-2 series is only available for non-type-s models. I could be wrong but does anyone know anything in regards to this subject. My car isn't going to have an aftermaket exhaust for know but I still want it to sound aggressive. Ideas Anyone???

AEM CAI = more aggressive sound
Comptech Icebox = better power gains

It really is a personal preference. I wanted mean sound in WOT and Vtec, so I got a AEM.....if you don't want the sound and like stock looks, get the icebox....

No appreciable diff in HP increase

the main difference is sound. Another difference is that the Icebox won't risk hydrolock.

Yeah, and the risk of hydrolock is minute if you can drive worth a damn. Don't slam your car 4 inces and then drive through a foot deep puddle...

Or just get a by-pass valve

Yeah, I should have mentioned that it's rare unless you drive through creeks and such.

Good info guys, thanks. If I get the AEM, I'll probably get the by-pass to be on the safe side. There's not that many creeks in the city of Boston but there are some streets I'll be avoiding that have pot-holes that substitute creeks. Everyone gets surprised by an annoying crater occasoinally. Thanks again for the feedback guys!
