Personally, I'd go CT Icebox or Injen. I'm not a fan of the AEM. The CT yields the biggest gains.

Whatever you get, don't get a SRI. Go with CT Icebox, AEM or Ingen.

Depends on what you want.. sound or more subtle intake with the best gains.. I vote CT Icebox.

Thanks for the input, the reason for the post was that I had originally had the CT Ice Box. I had to sell for financial reasons.

A SRI will just suck in hot air from the engne bay defeating the purpose of a CAI.

Comptech parts are expensive, but you gotta pay to play and comptech's products are by far the best out there for our cars. I had an AEM though and loved the sound, performance, etc, it just didn't make it through my little fender bender, so i switched to Comptech. In all honesty, the comptech icebox is just better all around and you don't have to worry about gettin a bypass valve to prevent hydrolock.

AEM CAI sounds pretty sick when the VTEC kicks in....at cruising speeds you don't hear it at all. You might hear a whistling sound if your window is down. Not to worry though its normal. It's the intake opening and closing.

You don't have to pay an arm and a leg to play though. Eventually I'll own the CT S/C. I'm gonna pay with my left arm though.

i have an injen but I just got it for the sound not the gains because a CAI isn't going to give you that much of a gain anyways

That just shows your ignorance. Why would you boycott a company who has put tons of R&D time into their products and their products are specialized for our vehicles? If you don't want the headers b/c of their price don't buy them but you're only hurting yourself by avoiding a company who offers great products for your vehicle. AEM and Injen have raised their prices and their prices for their intakes are close to the same as the Icebox, yet the Icebox gives a cleaner look and gives more hp. And it has a flap that opens up to suck in air if the Icebox tube is submerged.

CT's lowering springs sure were high quaility, and they didn't charge for the rust.

There were only a few cases of this and even the few cases weren't acceptable; and Comptech recognized this and resolved the issue. The powder coater they were using didn't do the job properly and therefore b/c the powder coating flaked it caused the springs to rust. So due to this Comptech changed over to Eibach to manufacture their springs. And ask NSXNEXT about Comptech's warranty on their springs. His were 5 years old and they refunded his $.

You're right, Eibach does make that set of springs for CT now. CT still makes their own springs. They useEibach I believe just for the 99-03 TL and the 04+ TL set. How many companies do you know though that would do that though? Most companies would not own up to the responsibility and would not resolve the problem. I think that is character on their part and shows their dedication to customer service.

In terms of 609's comment, I'll leave that to the powers that be.

I don't care if you express your opinion; that is what the forums are for. But don't swear at me and keep it clean. I have enough respect and courtesy to not swear at you so I expect the same from you. Besides when you registered with Acurazine you agreed not to use language like you did.
