I bought a set of 6.5 speakers to replace my torn stocks. Well when I took apart the door panels, l noticed that the area was shaped different than a normal speaker opening. What can I do to make them work? Is there an adapter of some kind? How did u guys replace yours? Help lol

 

yes you need the mounting piece to attach the speaker like in this pic.

 

Yeah my components came with those from what I remember.

What kind of speakers did you get shrekloco?

 

btw I got mine from a local audio installer over 6 years ago. I am not sure if there is a CL or honda specific one that fits. The one I have has the 3 mounting holes that matches perfectly to the 3 holes in the door.

 

Their are some speakers out there that have various holes so there would be no need for spacers.
And it's a let down when you are to the point you are but like other said you can buy spacers,make some out of wood,or try swaping for a diffent set of speaker if possible.
Just about all your option.
