Installing headlights

Is there ANYBODY in the San Fernando Valley, or within 30 miles of it that could help me put in my new headlights?

Or, could someone explain what I need to do to install the headlights, including tools. Also, inclue the WHAT TO DO, and WHAT NOT TO DO list Would I be able to do this with a friend? Or is it difficult?

`John

Here you go buddy... About half way down the page.. It's pretty easy

Edit: If you can take some pictures of these steps so we can have a DIY on this.. I couldn't seem to find one. I should've taken pictures when I did mine...

taking the headlights off aren't really a problem...switching out the ballasts and HID bulbs can be a pain in the ass

PS. did you get my PM bought your old headlights?

You just swap them out.. DON't touch the bulb with your fingers, use gloves if you have to. Remove the ballast then swap the bulb and the rest.. I can't remember specifics off the top of my head.. Sorry..

John, I'm glad to see that you received them OK and that you like them...

You wont get electricuted. Just like Jonesi said dont touch the bulb and becareful with the rod. If you break that there goes the bulb. To remove the bulb twist off the harness. I think it down and to the left. Then push down and to the right to remove the metal clip and the bulb should pop right out. Make sure the harness is connected to the ballastic. You dont want to have everything installed to find out that it was never connected.

Post some pics when you finish installing them...

hey whassup Dan

Yeah they turned out really great! I just hope they look that good ON the car

I'm going to take some pictures of the lights so people can see what they look like before they go on teh car as well right now. I'll be back. By the way, how long does this whole process take, to take off the bumper, d/c all the shit, put the new lights on and put the bumper back on? About an hour?

First time will take you a good while.. Maybe longer then a hour...

Just remember if you take all the bolts out and ready to take the bumper off and it feels like it's stuck in the middle just pull on it.. I was hesitant on pulling too hard at first. Yours might come off easier but this is where I got stuck..
