Installed PIAA Raod lamps
I Installed the PIAA 19169 5W road lamps this weekend. There's no light difference that I can tell. But i'm so happy these bulbs are more white now. The stock lamps were so dim, & yellow looking. Also the procedure to take the road lamp housing off in the manual is the only way. I got the housing's out & was finished in minutes. Easy.

Yes I agree, it’s purely cosmetic.
I have the 19169’s as well and they make the front end look sooooo much better by matching the Xenon’s.
No extra light though.

Where did you get them from? Can I get them from any local auto part shops? If you order them off the web, please give me a link. Thanks. I hope to install some soon.

if u guys like the 19169's, give the 19224's a shot...$15...granted, u're gonna burn the housing 6 months down the line, but u can clean it off with your fingers...AND the lights actually serve a purpose since they're so bright.

That's exactly why I didn't get any other higher wattage. My car is leased, & I use my lights all the time. I didn't want to deal with that.

we have talked about this at such lengths, it's prob 2nd to the tranny issues...if u don't have a burnt housing, props to u...everyone else here has had them/will have them if they continue to use M6's/PIAA 19224's...y?? b/c they're more than 3 times as powerful a light as the stock 5watt light, which means they're gonna produce a crap-load more of heat...if u don't drive all that much at night, the housing will burn at a slower pace...SPECIFICALLY, u WILL see almost like a melting of the inside lining of the housing...it will b discolored, and it will b circular in shape...look at the top of the inside part of the housing...but fear not, for if u have thin fingers, u can reach in and rub out a lot of the stain that will b there...u'll see some leftover discoloration, tho, but it's not THAT bad...so no, i respectfully disagree that i'm blowing this out of proportion...when i get my digicam, i'll take some snapshots of an old housing i recently replaced that has the stains (this old housing had the 19224's for approximately 6 months).

I got my lights off of ebay. Do a search for Piaa in automotive. You will find them.
Also I don't understand why anyone would want to mess with rivits & squeezing there hand under the bumper to change the bulb. The road lamps came off really easy by following the maunal's instructions. That's using a long phillips head screwdriver sticking it in the hole at the coner of the housing in the grill, & unscrewing it. After that the housing just popped out. It took only 2 minutes to complete the whole job.
