InJen CAI & Emission Inspection?

I'm in Cali and they require some special emission test before registering and the shops refused to do it for my car b/c I didn't have some code for the InJen CAI that says that it's EPA tested. Anyhow so I call InJen and they say it'll be another month before they'll have EPA approval and that I have to install the stock setup and get it tested and then put the CAI back in. Anyone else have this problem??? I paid money to have it installed and I'm bad with that stuff so I don't know what to do since I don't want to pay extra dough. Suggestions?

Dude, I know where you are coming from. Having lived in Cal for over 25 years, I know this is not the place to mod your car. When I retire, I'm moving the F out of California to some place like Florida where you can drop a jet engine in your car and they don't care.

It's called a CARB sticker...meaning that the company tests at the CARB facility and it passed. Otherwise, it won't pass visual inspection which is where they are going to hold you up on. Maybe that's why the Injen intake is soooo much cheaper than AEM.
