It's good, just so you know though, you can squeeze more out.

I got 425 before the gas light came turned on when I went on a trip to no cal. Although I do have an icebox on my car so I'm sure that had something to do with it.

WOW that is a lot. What is the average mileage for our car.
I usually don't fill up the tank, but i filled up on sat, and at half mark, i have traveled 180miles, is that good or bad in terms of our car.

180 is decent for the half mark. If I drive my car hard, i'll usually be at about 150 mi at the half way mark.

I wouldn't doubt it especially with the O/D ratios. Get an air filter or CAI if you don't have one. I remember after I got just a K&N drop in on my 5AT 04 TL, it gained around 50 miles a tank.

Meh, 400 to a tank is actually not that great, I can get that around the city easily.. If I hit 400 when the gas light comes on I feel that I am doing alright (~28-29mpg).

At the halfway point in my my car I try to hit 200+.

How are you calling BS on me when you said yourself you get 450miles a tank?? I'm confused as to what you are uncertain about.

I was just in Raleigh setting up an office.

Yeah you can get killer mileage if you drive light. On my NY trip I got about 360 on a tank, but that was 80+ with the ac blasting & luggage.

I know what you mean. i just moved from cali to texas and drove the CL all the way. no problems what so ever. when driving economically it really does get good gas mileage.

The city part. Typically, city driving means in the city and a lot of starting and stopping. Maybe you mean just driving around city on the highway?

With city driving I will get between 23-25mpg depending on how frisky I am feeling (For my car that appears to be roughly 400 a tank). With highway driving (80% of what I do), I will get between 26-29mpg depending on traffic/speed.

Obviously using miles per tank is a very innaccurate way to tell mileage, I only use it as a rough guideline for comparison. I have gotten into the habit of filling up at the same station and taking a second to write down my mileage and mpg on the receipt. Comes in handy for making sure the car is running efficiently!

I have a SRI on mine, and it probably did help out a good bit.

Thumbs up

shoot for 220 + miles by the time the gauge just touches the half tank mark. that would indicate north of 28 Miles per gallon. you can do what i do and short shift at 1800 rpms, you'll make allot of enemies on the road, but you give more people the opportunity to look at your sweet cl.

you can save at least $6 on every fill up, and if you fill up 8 times a month like i do (savings of at about $50/month), than its only a matter of months before youve saved enough for your next mod

i recommend an AEM c.a.i., drastically improved mileage, and makes her scream on vtec depending on your mood

Best I've gotten was close to 37mpg on a trip from Chicago area back to Minneapolis. Most of the time on the highway I get around 28-32mpg (70-80mph cruising with some slowing and high-speed passing). I have a K&N.

I get about 280 miles on 14 gallons, but I have to check the gas mileage from my trip down to baltimore a couple of weekends ago...

I've gotten close to 30mpg on long highway drives before...

The 6MT revs higher at the same highway speeds... I noticed this when I switched from 5AT to 6MT, but the drive train is more efficient, so I find the gas mileage pretty similar. Funny thing though... I notice my 6MT gets worse gas mileage in the summer than the winter... opposite from my 5AT. Must be the way I drive I guess

I think most people who have regionally winterized gas get worse mileage in the winter.

220 to 250 with a 80% city, 20% highway driving, and I like vtec range., With the SC, I now get 180 a tank.

Damn that sux, but I bet that the rumble of that supercharger makes up for that horrible gas milage.

Lots of reasons for bad mileage. Old air filter, old plugs, old wires, intake manifold buildup and other buildups, driving style, along with a million other reasons. Think about some general maintenance first and see what that does. How high do you run it before shifting most of the time? What octane gas do you run?
