Improving low end (2500-4500RPM) power?
Here's what we have to work with: 2000 TL-P with just about all bolt-ons except exhaust and ported TB. Now doing enough research and seeing the cost per horse, neither is really worth the buy. The exhaust yielding 5WHP at the most and ported TB about the same.
Now here is the situations what I will need the power: shifts between 2nd and 3rd gear and 3rd to 4th gear the rpms dip down to about 3500-4000 RPMs on WOT and there isn't enough grunt to pull out on some cars that I should be beating up on at 80 MPH. (3rd -> 4th shift) For example, driving to work on a straight away and decided to pace a (aprox) 03' Jetta TDI. He had a solid PULL on me before I could catch him. This shouldn't be happening. I know that the TDI is a torque rich (177 ft/lbs @1800-2400RPM) car but that car at that speed...? Maybe it was chiped?
Current power: based on all my current mods I should be running aprox 200whp and and about the same on the torque side. I dynoed on a dynojet with 19's, CAI, Hyper Ground and voltage: 180whp and 176wtq. The figures should be about right. I am going to scan dyno session as soon as possible.
I want to pull harder at the low end like described on the title. Ideally it would be just slapping on the Supercharger and calling it good. I understand that. Or even NOS at this point. NOS running at guessing $750 for a solid wet system or $3K+ for the SC. Should I run NOS instead and just scrap the SC idea? I don't need the power all the time... OR DO I? I am thinking the NOS just because right now it is budget friendly. AND ARE THERE ANY OTHER IDEAS THAT I HAVE MISSED THAT SOMEONE ELSE HAS EXPERIENCE WITH? Thanks to all in advance! This forum freekin rocks!

The only way to make more low end power is more displacement or forced induction. You cant spray the N2O until 3k pm anyways, and it gets pricey pretty quickly.
What you definitely need is a Roots style blower (ie. Comptech). It is a 'positive displacement' blower, which means it makes the engine act like it is bigger than it actually is. Full boost is available almost right off idle, and it'll definitely help in the mid range power also.
