IMPORTANT Unorthodox Group Buy Participants with Type S

Hey guys I just received this email from Shawn at Unorthodox. Every one that has a type s need to contact Unorthodox!

Type S Owners,
After careful checking for part numbers with Honda and Acura we were confident that the pulleys were identical for the Type S models. Well the Type S owner with the 6spd was in today and the alternator pulley is definately different. We need to notify all buyers with the Type S that they should not install the alternator pulley under any circumstances. We are setting up a rush roduction run for the Type S version of alternator ulleys and will ship them to each customer who has made a purchase when
they come out of production.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and wish to assure all owners affected that we will do everything in our power to shorten their waiting period. Each owner must contact us to verify that they are a Type S owner, this way we can take their shipping info from their original order and create a database for shipping the new part. The installation time to add the updated alternator after should be no more than 15 minutes.

Respectfully,
Shawn Baumgartner
President
Unorthodox Racing Inc.

Alt pulley

Guys, I'm Happy to inform you that I have the Crank and the P/S have been installed on my car by UR. Plus, my car put 221.5 whp. The Alt pulley is different. I don't know exactly what Shawn said to me. But it is kind of like the wheel offset that is wrong on the pulley, if you catch my drift. I can feel a small dif in first gear. I'm sure that if i feel that right off the bat, I should feel more in a bit. Plus the Alt wasn't put on.

You can’t really get a good straight-on shot of it.
There’s too much stuff in the way.

Here are the best two shots I could get for you.

So I’m somewhat confused.

A stock 6-Speed DYNO was 217 something and yours with the Pulleys, CAI and Exhaust is only 221.5
Not too impressive if you ask me.

it sounds like the offset is wrong. as in the belt won't line up properly.

From my 6spd the alt pulley is 2-3/4". Sure about your measurement? I haven't seen many rulers with 1/3" markings

Another reason why you wait for things to be tested before you go out and buy them OTOH maybe the torque jumped 20hp, or maybe the HP and Torque curves are flatter. Can't tell with just the peak number. Give 'em time to post the actual dyno plot...
