Im new, what do I do?

Hey, picking up my 2001 3.2CL-S tomorrow. I do not know anything about these cars. Can anyone clue me in as to if there are some no-brainer things you want to do to these cars right off to enhacne performance.

You may want to check out our Tuners Guide which has most of the info you're looking for. From there you can search on any keyword like Headers, Intakes, springs, etc. to get tons of information.

wow, you really are a newbie....dude, do some research....check out the forums here, once you have more specific questions, people are more apt to answer, but a broad questoin like you just posted would require a NOVEL to answer.

i will give you some key points

1. HEADERS!!! they are cheap (OBX or STONE headers are less than 500 bucks) and the give about 25 WHEEL horsepower and a hell of a boost in acceleration and top end power

2. LOWER THE BITCH!!! stock CL-S look crappy with 4x4 style suspension. get yourself some Comptech Springs for about 250 bucks, the car will handle better and look MUCH better

3. TIRES!!! stock CL-S tires are absolutely terrible..and considering you are getting a used 2001 CL-S, your tires will most likely be shit. invest in some new, sticky tires. upsizing is common here. the STOCK rims can handle 235/45/17 or 225/45/17 or 225/50/17....altering the tire size WILL effect your odometer....your car will rack up mileage faster with a smaller overall tire. the BEST match is 235/45/17

these tips should keep you busy for a bit. these are the most common FIRST mods for any CL-S. enjoy. and do some research!!!
