hey guys! ok here goes: my tranny took a shit (auto) and i have opted to go the 06 tl tranny route.i found a tranny online from an 06 tl with 88k on it and they want $1200. i spoke to my mechanic about it and basically hes willing to try it out haha. it should be pretty straight forward right? my question is this: all i need to get is the tranny off the tl right? everything else bolts up? i just want to make sure. what would you do as far as upgrades before installing? should i change the torque converter? any help would be appreciated. thank you (2003 acura cl non type s automatic)

There is a thread that discusses what needs to be moved from the old tranny to the new, but your mechanic should be able to figure it out by looking at the two side by side. I would also try to get the flex plate from the 06 TL just to be safe.
