Question Illuminating Steering Wheel Controls

One thing that i do hate about my CLS is that the controls on the steering wheel do not light up as with other luxury sport coupes. Has anybody done this before? and if so can you tell us how?

I use a solar powered flashlight. Works great for finding the buttons.

OKAY!!! Any other idiotic replies? If you dont have something worth saying, dont say anything at all !

Dude i know where the controls are, this is more focused on the "looks" side of the question... I just think it would be a great improvement to the interior

Thanks

i don't think this can be done without completely replacing the controls. you'd have to carve out each letter that you wanted illuminated, then find a power source, all without messing up the air bag, just seems like this is soemthing that is not worth the time and effort....

granted i agree with you, it adds to the overall "look"..... this is the first car that i've seen where the controls don't light up

Damn.

I have heard rumors on Accord owners adding illumination to these controls but nothing solid.

Thanks anyways

okay....... did not mean to make fun. it is great that people try thinking of new ideas to better the CL-S.. and it was a good idea... I was just poking some fun but being honest wth you... it would be a pretty complex upgrade without the correct tools and skills just to light up a few buttons..

I hope ShawnS interjects because he did a mod with illuminating the overhead garge door buttons... so you might pick up a an idea or 2 to try and tackle the task.
