Excellent choice for 33K:

I'd go for the 280 SL (really nice car -- we had one and was a really nice driver):

Price - $33,000.

Any one of these should be sufficent for me. I currently have '69 Camaro RS 327. All Stock, but needs a lot of body work.

I miss our GN so much, very first car I ever drove. When the 87 came out my dad and 3 buddies went out and each got one

it's just a shame that they sell so high now a days

I've already been searching around for one that just needs a little bit of work. I almost pulled the trigger on one that just needed new paint and interior for 12K, but just couldn't spend the cash at the time

Scottie,

Be careful with these cars. They generally need a lot of work and the engines really don't last very long. They are not iron horses. I think they are beautiful and the nicest style of the SL, but they require a lot of work. I know you have the resources, but you should know this. Check out the web site associated with the picture that I posted. It is one of the more educated Pagota site that I have found.

i'm well aware of what to look for. Luckily I have a family friend that just does old MBZ's. I'm just looking for something she'd get in on a saturday morning take the top off and drive to the market etc. Wouldn't be an everyday driver. I wouldn't even be against pulling out the motor and dropping in a V8. I'd love to see how much that would piss people off

Thankfully, nobody seems to want the same cars I want.

The first Trans Am...1969.

And, the Hurst Olds 442...1968.

They seem to be the less popular siblings of the Camaro and Chevelle. :sigh:

My dad has what I believe is a 1963, the E-type is in the garage and he's in the process of restoring. I can't wait till he's done, it'll be british racing green with tan leather. He already got done restoring another Jag, I think it was a 67 Mark II

It's a classic. It's got an oval rear window, so it's a 1953-1957 beetle. Oh... it's not a classic. It's to old to be a classic. It's a focking historical/vintage vehicle
