Actually if you lower your car you will have better traction. Will you wear the tire quicker? Maybe...depends on how low you go and how the chamber is after the drop...shouldn't be that bad though. Most people use the Comptech springs or the prokit offered by Eibach...both lower around 1.5" all around.
Browse through the forums a little and you will quickly see all the mods you can have

your traction will be fine and your handling will be improved. if you want a subtle drop get the comptech springs. they drop the car 1.5" front, .75" rear. ride quality is good w/ these springs and your car will still be alignable. you shouldn't have any problems w/ the camber.
