If the 2003 had 295HP with the same J32A2, can we...
canwe get the bolt on mod that contributed to the gain of power?...
So to speak, we could refit the the 01' with the 03' power adding part. right?

#1 I hope you are right cause my 2003 6MT is on order
#2 Wouldn't it depend on what change was done to achieve the gain? Also - do you think Acura would make it avail or other aftermarket?
On #2 ... speculation was that the gain was the same as what the Mystery Mod 2 is supposed to do.
If the 6MT materializes with 295 I am gonna live in my new car ! (kahn_man said his friend that did the clutch for the car said Acura wanted them to make a clutch for a 295HP so .....)

Thereotically it seems possible, but following that logic, you would have to assume that there was a feasible way to make the T/CL-Ps achieve the same power as the type-S (without crossover mods like headers, pulleys, etc.) since they also share the same engine.
And since no non-Type-S has been able do this without using those types of mods, it obviously must be very difficult to do (ie compression ratios, etc.)

this is unbelievable
....295HP honda is sweet!!!!! for 30K!!!!
nsx is 90K and is more than double the price.
if cl-s 6MT is 290 or 295 HP, then i will kick my dreams of the Evo7 goodbye!!
i'd rather have luxury and power than pure raw power

I would bet a dollar on it!

Well if the car currently generates 260hp (SAE NET ?)
at the crank & the Comptech Headers have dynoed +25hp
above 5000rpms this seems possible.
Hopefully the closer gearing in the 6spd will make full use of
that extra peak power because 4th & 5th in the auto
seems too friggin tall to really exploit it!

I can't wait to see dynos of this baby. I'll bet that the dynos will look similar to the ones we have generated already without a significant addition of low end torque. As mentioned previously, the addition of a close ratio 6 speed will reduce our lack of torque problems significantly.
Wow - LA Auto Show can't get here soon enough ... hoping for 290HP, maybe small torque bump, front and backend like a TL-S, body kit, close ratio 6MT, tighter suspension (sways, whatever), and slightly wider tires. If they do all this ... these things will fly off the Acura parking lot !!

"Just because torque doesn't increase doesn't mean HP stays the same, too. HP is torque times engine speed (with some unit conversions). Therefore if the torque peak stays the same but occurs 300RPM (or 500, 800, 1000, whatever) higher, then the peak HP increases without a peak torque increase.
I'd dig more, but I don't have an old torque and HP curve to compare to the new one (if we even have a new one). I got the torque number from our heat stress and torque safety factor calculation which is the spreadsheet that determines the basic aspect of a clutch...how much load it must have to clamp the engine to transmit full torque, therefore the torque number there HAS to be correct."
