Idle question

Hey guys, I just picked up my car from the bodyshop today after six months of not driving it and it's acting all sorts of strange! After i start it and it runs for about a minute the idle starts jumping up and down from like 1500 rpm to 2300 rpm and it just doesnt seem normal when i am driving either i am assuming they problems are related. please let me know what i should be looking for or changing Thanks in advance

I would just reset the computer (disconnect the battery for 15 minutes) and let it relearn everything. Didn't you add a new intake as well? That and not driving it for so long could screw with the computer, but I don't know. I'm sure our resident experts(scalabert, allmotor, ericL) could give you better advice.

And a bottle of Chevron Techron (or similar) fuel injector cleaner would not hurt!!

I'm pretty sure you just need to reset the ECU. This happened to me when I installed the Greddy cat-back.

You'd be surprised. You probably have to do both. Reset the ecu and clean out the fuel injection system. It was parked for a long time. When I don't start my beater for a couple weeks it does weird things like that. And it's better when I drive it a bit.
