Idle Problem

Ive got this very weird intermittent idle problem. I get a high idle usually when its hot, and or the Ac has been on for awile. It will go as high as about 2200rpm. It doesnt bounce up and down, it stays steady. This has been going on for about 1 year off and on, AND i HAVE already replaced the IACV. Infact, i replaced the entire throttle body, and it came with all new sensors.

And recently, within the past 2 weeks or so, now the idle will dip down really low, almost stall and bounce back up to normal. It will do this for about 45 seconds or so, and the idle will return to normal. Usually if i leave the AC OFF, i do not have this problem, but if i run the AC, thats when the problem eventually starts. If i turn the car off, and back on and don't run the AC its fine, idles perfectly.

I have a call into my local acura dealership. They want to hook it up to there computer and test the IACV, and see what its outputting? Like i said, the IACV has already been replaced.

Anybody have any ideas what the problem could be?

dont listen to people telling you to clean the iacv it doesnt work. if you have a underdrive pulley that is what is causing it. I had the same problem replaced my iacv and it did nothing. still has not gone away i think the only way to get rid of it would be to put the stock pulley back on or a lightweight stock size pulley.

When you replaced the throttle body, did you use a new gasket?

Was driving by Acura and it happened to be idling high as i drove past. My buddy looked at it (a tech there) and figured it out, Cruise control cable was sticking, and was a little to tight. So i ordered up a new cable, took off the old one and it idles perfectly now.

Wow, im glad it was something so simple, and pretty cheap (only 20.00 for new cable)
